I had a productive day yesterday 🙂 Whilst all of my new neverborn models are assembled I am waiting on some resin bases to come in stock before I can start getting them all painted. In the mean time however I painted up my proxy Joss model and another group of arachnids.
I have to admit I don’t like the new arachnid models, aside from being fiddly as hell they are significantly bigger than my original metal ones so they look quite out of place. On the other hand I like my proxy model for Joss. In 1.5 I used Rusty Alyce as Ramos’ trusty female companion, but now she is a henchman in 2e I can no longer take her, and the crazy old man cannot be alone can he 🙂
It felt quite nice painting these. A lot of my previous models have been using the dirty paint scheme, and whilst it looks ok, it feels a bit cheaty at times and is rather uninspiring, it was nice to feel like I can actually paint and these have made me look forward to painting again where the dirty paint scheme bored the crap out of me.
